Together, we're building a better future for SA Women and Girls

Join our giving circle and be a part of a movement creating real, lasting change

Our Giving Circle

Because giving is more powerful together. Our giving circle brings people together who want to make a difference in our community - it's about more than donating, it's about understanding what's needed locally and bringing our resources together to help make that happen.

Join our Giving Circle - where community, generosity and purpose meet.

Our mission

SA Women for Women Giving Circle envisions a connected and compassionate community where women support women to thrive. Through shared generosity, inclusive collaboration and meaningful action, we contribute to lasting social change and empower South Australian women and girls to reach their full potential.

How we help local women

Launched in 2025, each year we gather donations from our members and the wider community, then grant them to nonprofits supporting South Australian women and children in need.

Governed by our Leadership Circle which meets regularly to guide areas of focus and to collectively determine initiatives to support, considering the need and the current data, so grants are targeted and sustainable.
We know that change is needed in:
Education and employment
Health and wellbeing
Safe housing
We recognise that these issues disproportionately effect First Nations women and those in rural and remote South Australia and we care about finding ways to meaningfully support their needs.

Why it matters

WOMEN EARN LESS THAN MEN,
by approximately 14% less on average
RURAL WOMEN HAVE
UNMET HEALTH NEEDS,

with 23% facing barriers to accessing services
SINGLE MOTHERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE POVERTY,
with 54% living below the poverty line
WOMEN EXPERIENCE VIOLENCE,
with 1 in 3 women experiencing physical violence since the age of 15, and 1 in 5 experiencing sexual violence
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH
SAFE HOUSING,

with only 1 woman in every 15 will have access to a safe bed when escaping domestic violence
YOUNG WOMEN ARE
PARTICULARLY VULNERABLE
,
with 27% of 16 - 24 year olds experience high levels of psychological distress

Impact snapshot

Our Giving Circle launches in August 2025, stay tuned for what we do in our first year

If you want to be part of our collective giving, join our circle
Our goal is to raise
$100,000
in our first year ...

How we give

SA Women for Women is about now and tomorrow, long into the future.

Each year we will pool the donations made and distribute the majority to initiatives aligned with our mission and we will retain a small portion to invest to create a constant stream of funding.

Initially we will distribute 90% of the funds donated, and retain 10% to fund the future.

Australian Communities Foundation securely manages all funds on our behalf, so your philanthropy is in good hands. This also means that your donations are fully tax-deductible. Credit Card donations will attract a third-party processing fee which you elect choose to cover at the time of payment, otherwise ACF currently absorb this.

ACF will charge SA Women for Women a small fee (2.5%) to manage the administrative requirements and the investment portfolio of our Giving Circle.

Our Leadership Circle

SA Women for Women is a volunteer-led Giving Circle established by a group of passionate women, recognising that we are blessed by the support in our lives and united by a desire to share that with others in our community.
The Leadership Circle is grateful to Sophie Doyle and the team at Foundation SA for the guidance in establishing our Giving Circle, the wisdom to shape our approach and the generosity of connections that has helped us bring this passion to life.
